ICE Rescue Equipment Replacement Desperately Needed!
Friends of Smith Valley Fire District is currently fundraising to replace our outdated and failing
ICE Rescue Suits.
We are attempting to replace the current 6 well used ICE Rescue Suits that were purchased in 2002
as well as purchase an Oceanid Inflatable Rescue Boat.
Our non-profit organization has been working on raising funds to replace the aging equipment. Between pancake breakfasts, our Fire & Ice Summer Carnival (a family fun day), and donations over the past two years we have raised approximately $3,025.50 towards the estimated $10,282.00 needed to purchase the suits and an Oceanid Inflatable Rescue Boat.
